 ১৯৯৬-এর ব্যাঙ্গালোর। বিশ্বকাপের জন্য ভারতীয় দলের কন্ডিশনিং ক্যাম্প চলছে চিন্নস্বামীতে। ক্যাপ্টেন আজহার , ম্যানেজার ওয়াদেকর । দুর্দান্ত প্রতিশ্রুতিমান বিক্রম রাঠোরের রুমমেট ব্যাঙ্গালোরেরই স্থানীয় একটি মুখচোরা ছেলে। ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেটে বিস্তর রান-টান করেছে কিন্তু কেন জানিনা প্রচারের আলোর বাইরে।

অদ্ভুত উত্তর দিল ছেলেটি , "হিসেব করে দেখলাম ইংল্যান্ড ট্যুরের আগে চারটি রঞ্জি ম্যাচ আছে। চারটি সেঞ্চুরি করতে হবে আমায়।" বলেই ব্যাগ নিয়ে হনহন করে বেরিয়ে গেল ছেলেটি।

OPPO has confirmed the launch markets for its first full-screen smartphone, the OPPO F5, coming October 26. The latest device in OPPO’s “selfie expert” series will be made available in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, though details of what the handset will offer are currently scarce.

OPPO has revealed only a few bits of information about that the F5 (which we received via email), most notably that it will feature a FHD+ display with 2160 x 1080 resolution and “AI beauty recognition technology.”

OPPO says the F5 will use the AI to “beautify” selfie shots, learning the “the unique facial features of a subject (for example: the nose, cheek, lower jaw etc.), to make the best enhancements for each image, regardless of the facial expressions or shooting angle.”

The AI component is also said to understand the differences between age and gender, to make the most appropriate tweaks for each subject, and will self-learn to improve future pictures. For those wishing to take high quality selfies with minimal effort, this sounds like it could be the device for you.

secret superstar review

Story & script are the most important part of any movie, so let’s talk about it first :

Secret Superstar is a movie about a girl Insiya, who is a fabulous singer but fails to put out her talent in front of the world because her father is a narrow minded, child beating douche. Hence she puts on a Burqa with naqab and starts making YouTube videos of her singing. As one would expect the video goes viral. Shakti Kumar a failing director and a really cheap guy see’s her video and the story takes on. Being with Insiya makes Shakti the man he is deep inside.

Zaira Wasim has done a remarkable work with her acting skills. She did bring back some of my childhood memories as well. Aamir Khan who is playing Shakti Kumar is one of my favorite characters in the movie.

The character of Shakti Kumar has been written and portrayed very well and seldom the characters like these are written, especially for superstar’s. This is the funniest character Aamir Khan has played ever after of course Anadaz Apna Apna.

Maher Vij who is playing the character of Insiya’s mother is completely believable as a middle class mother who is stuck between her daughter and husband.

Advaith, the debutant director has done an exceptional job. From building the character’s from scratch to molding them and then concluding. I just loved how packed and tight the script has been made and Advaith’s vision on the Big Screen. Way To Go Mr. Advaith. As I told screen play was perfect with its pace.

Songs are my another favorite part of Secret Superstar. The music is soulful and the lyrics are amazing.

Overall Secret Superstar is about a girl’s dream and how she manages to overcome the difficulties in the way of her dream. The Dialogue said by Insiya “Sapne Dekhna Toh Basic Hai” did impact me and I was taken aback for a second.

Secret Superstar is definitely a roller coaster ride of emotions and will surely make you think of pursuing your dreams.

Overall this movie is a must watch and my personal suggestion would be to go watch Secret Superstar with your family

অমলকান্তিরা হয়তো এমনই হয় - একটু অন্যরকম , একটু আনঅর্থোডক্স ,  স্বপ্নপূরণের অপ্রচলিত পথে নিরন্তর হেঁটে চলা ব্যতিক্রমী একঝাঁক মানুষ। তারা সর্বত্র থাকে , সবদেশেই, সবকালেই। একটু খুঁটিয়ে দেখলেই চিনতে পারবেন তাদের।

মুর্তজা আহমদিকে মনে আছে নিশ্চয় ? সেই আফগানী বাচ্চাটা যে নীল সাদা প্লাস্টিক কুড়িয়ে জার্সি বানিয়ে লিখে নিয়েছিল মেসি। তারপরই একদিন হঠাৎ সুযোগ পেয়ে গিয়েছিল স্বপ্নের নায়কের সাথে দেখা করার। জড়িয়ে ধরেছিল তার ভালোবাসাকে বাস্তবে , নিশ্চিন্তে। সে কি অমলকান্তি নয় ? সে কি রোদ্দুর হতে পারেনি ? হ্যাঁ , সেই অমলকান্তি সেই রোদ্দুর সেই বাস্তব তা সে কবির অমলকান্তি যতই রোদ্দুর না হতে পারুন না কেন।

 যুদ্ধবিধ্বস্ত মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের একফালি খালি জমি। একটা বাচ্চার এক পা নেই তবুও সে বন্ধুদের সাথে ফুটবল খেলছে ,গোলকিপিং করছে ,গায়ে চড়িয়ে নিয়েছে নীল সাদা দশ নম্বর। সে অমলকান্তি নয় ? সে রোদ্দুর নয় ? আরে মশাই , সে যদি অমলকান্তি না হয় , সে যদি রোদ্দুর না হয় তাহলে ছুড়ে ফেলে দিন আপনার কবিতা ঠাসা খাতা। পড়ুন জীবনের কাব্য।

  রোজারিওর ছেলেটাও তো একদিন স্পেনের জাতীয় দলের নিশ্চিন্ত অফার ছেড়ে পরে নিয়েছিল ফুটবল ঈশ্বরের ফেলে যাওয়া দশ নম্বর। দেশ আর দল যা সব নিরন্তর দাবী করেছে সময়ের সাথে  তাতে অন্য কেউ হলে সেই চাপে গুঁড়িয়ে যেত। দেশ একটা মানুষের ঘাড়ে ভর করে পার হতে চেয়েছে প্রতিটা হার্ডল। ব্যর্থ হয়েছে তবুও ছেলেটা অমলকান্তি হয়ে স্বপ্ন ছুঁয়ে রোদ্দুর হতেই চেয়েছে। দেশ আর কাল কোথায় যেন মিলিয়ে দিয়েছে মুর্তজা , নাম না জানা এক পা ওয়ালা বাচ্চা ছেলেটা আর কোনো এক লিওনেল মেসিকে।

হ্যাঁ, ওরা সবাই অমলকান্তি।
হ্যাঁ, ওরা সবাই হতে পারা রোদ্দুরও
তা সে বাকি বিশ্ব যাই বলুক না কেন।

England booked their place in the final of the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017 after beating Brazil 3-1 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The partisan Kolkata crowd had hoped for a Brazilian party but Liverpool's young striker Rhian Brewster stole the show with his second hat-trick in as many games.

Having opened the scoring as early as the 10th minute, Brewster added to his tally in the 39th and 77th minutes to now lead the scoring charts at India 2017 with seven goals so far. In the process, he became the first England player to net two successive hat-tricks at a U17 World Cup.

golmal again review

After a run time of around two and a half hours, the end credits roll out proudly proclaiming “A Film by Rohit Shetty and Team”. I am sure, Rohit Shetty includes the word “Team” only to share the blame for making an unapologetically vacuous and pea-headed series of sequences characterized by over-acting, blaring noises and shamelessly intrepid use of colors which is glorified as a mass entertainer. If Golmaal Again is a mass entertainer, then a funeral is New Year’s Eve. Rohit Shetty is an audacious director and I respect him for that. It takes sheer steadfastness to keep cooking the same meal and serving the audience every few years.

This has been the fourth Golmaal movie in the last 11 years. When the first Golmaal came out, the world had not even heard of The Great Recession, George W. Bush was the US president, and Yahoo! was planning to acquire a small start-up called Facebook. Since then, the taste, content, exposure to western movies has all come a long way in India. We are binge watching content from a variety of producers and are open to newer ideas. Alas, the obdurate Rohit Shetty has stayed the same and his movies have become a torture fest of loud dialogues and grown men behaving like imbeciles. It pains me to see talented actors like Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Arshad Warsi spew insipid one liners like “ itna dark ke daakiya bhi daak nahi layega” (so dark that a postman cannot carry posts), “flat dekh ke tum flat ho jaoge” (you will go flat looking at the Flat). They deserve much more than this. If Ajay Devgn can balance on two cars and do stunts, I am sure with better dialogues he can make the funny bones tickle. Infact Ajay is one of the reason the movie is bearable to some extent. To watch an industry veteran honestly follow instructions to appear a caricature and make weird faces which are supposed to evoke laughter is commendable at the very least. Same is the case with Johnny Lever who gets slapped around as he has a habit of forgetting things. This is Bollywood’s greatest medical trick, used since decades to make somebody recover his memory, you just need to slap the lights out of the person and lo behold!

There is one sentence used throughout the movie which feels like a tagline for every Rohit Shetty movie over the years. “Jab God ki marzi hoti hain, tab logic nahi sirf magic hota hai “ (when God wishes, there isn’t any logic but only magic). No Mr Shetty, you are not getting away with requesting us to sit through something which defies even the slightest logic and is also regressive. Most of the jokes come from weird facial expressions, innuendos, utter chaos out of nowhere and of course making fun of the physically challenged, because, why not.

Great actors like Tabu and Nana Patekar sleepwalk through the movie, yet perform better than Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor combined. One thing that stands out positively in any Rohit Shetty movie is the comfort with which he directs multiple people in the same frame. The ensemble cast does not get a character arc, yet they get almost equal presence in the story and seem to be there with a purpose. In fact the cast seems to be increasing with every part of the franchise, yet Rohit Shetty includes them seamlessly in the story.

Golmaal Again tries to somewhat venture out of the ‘rivalry between characters’ plot line to include horror along with vengeful spirits into it as a diversion, yet it fails to make us care for anything going on. It could still have been funny if the gags had laugh out loud stuff, but sadly the over indulgence takes front seat and writing is almost non existent. Some of the jokes are so mediocre that we will rebuke anybody who dare crack them in front of us. And here we are spending almost 300 bucks and buying popcorn for 300 more to watch this slogfest on the big screen.

Rohit Shetty should try something new, or go back to hosting adventure shows on TV. But who am I to opine, the movie is still minting money, so obviously there is an audience for such movies. Which is as sad as watching Prakash Raj dancing like a man on drugs.

।।চিত্র সমালোচনা।।

★Rangoon★

"বন্যেরা বনে সুন্দর,
শিশুরা মাতৃ ক্রোড়ে,
আর,Vishal Bhardwaj শেক্সপিয়ারে।"

প্রথম দুটো লাইন সঞ্জীব চট্টোপাধ্যায় লিখেছিলেন।আর,এই ছবিটা দেখার পর শেষ লাইনটা আমি জুড়তে বাধ্য হলাম।বাধ্য করলেন পরিচালক নিজেই।

ছবিটার ট্যাগলাইন ছিল---Love,War,Deceit।অর্থাৎ,ভালোবাসা,যুদ্ধ ও প্রতারণা।এক এক করে তিনটে বিষয়েই আলোকপাত করা যাক।

●Love:-ছবিটা একটা ত্রিকোণ প্রেমের গল্প বলে।ঠিক অনেকটা Titanic ছবিটার গল্পের মতো।দুটো সম্পর্কের মধ্যে Shahid Kapoor ও Kangana Ranaut এর কেমিস্ট্রিটা বেশ কিছু দৃশ্যে জমে উঠলেও ছবিটার মতোই সেটাও ধারাবাহিকতার অভাবে ভুগেছে।

●War:-একটা অতিসাধারণ ত্রিকোণ প্রেমের গল্প দর্শকের মনে ধরবে কিনা এই বিষয়ে পরিচালকের মনে সংশয় ছিল বলেই মনে হয় উনি এই দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের সাবপ্লটটাকে ছবিতে জুড়েছিলেন।নাহলে,ছবিতে দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধ ও আজাদ হিন্দ ফৌজের প্রাসঙ্গিকতা খুঁজতে গেলে আপনাকে ২১,রজনী সেন রোড,বালিগঞ্জ ঢুঁ মারতে হতে পারে।

●Deceit:-ছবিজুড়ে কে প্রতারিত হলো বুঝতে না পারলেও,ছবিটা শেষ হলে বুঝতে পারবেন যে দর্শক হিসাবে আপনি প্রতারিত হয়েছেন।

আপনি হয়তো ভাবছেন,ছবিটা সম্বন্ধে সবই খারাপ কথা লিখলাম,ছবিটাতে কিছুই কি ভালো নেই?আছে।যেমন ধরুন,Shahid Kapoor এর মন্ত্রমুগধ করে রাখা অভিনয়।Kangana Ranaut Official এর আপাত ধারাবাহিকতাবিহীন ভালো অভিনয়।তবে,Saif Ali Khan যে কেন এমন একটা চরিত্র করতে রাজি হলেন সেটাই রহস্য।আদতে চিত্রনাট্যে তাঁর কোনো অভিনয় করার জায়গায়ই ছিল না।Arijit Singh এর কণ্ঠে Yeh Ishq Hai Rangoon Arijit Singh ও Alvida - Rangoon - Arijit Singh গানদুটোর রেশ ছবিটার থেকেও বেশি সময় মস্তিষ্কে থেকে যায়।Vishal Bharadwaj এর পরিচালকসত্বা অপেক্ষা তাঁর সংগীত পরিচালক সত্বা এই ছবিতে অনেক বেশি সফলতার সাথে প্রকাশ পেয়েছে।

ছবিটা যখন শেষ হয় তখন বুঝতে পারি পরিচালক কিন্তু শেক্সপিয়ারকে ছাড়তে পারেননি।তাই,হয়তো প্লট বা সাবপ্লট কোনোভাবেই ছবিটার নামটিকে জাস্টিফাই করতে পারেননি।আসলে,শেক্সপিয়ার বলে গেছেন না---

Age-group cricket serves a limited purpose, says Dravid

Felicitations can sometimes be tricky affairs. Organisations do them ostensibly to honour people with extraordinary achievements but fail to strike a balance between that and their personal desire to gain maximum publicity for the same.

It was no different at a function for Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami. Organised by the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) here on Tuesday with Rahul Dravid as the felicitator, the event soon descended into a chaotic affair.

While Mithali supported the idea of a women’s IPL saying, “It will lead to having a big pool of players and will give a push to the domestic and international cricket,” Jhulan admitted there were still issues in the Indian society that made sports as a career for women a problematic affair.

Dravid hailed the rise of women role models in the sport. “It’s fantastic to see the energy built up around women’s sport in general and cricket specially. Young girls now have their own role models to look up to, they don’t need a Rahul Dravid or a Sachin Tendulkar,” he told The Hindu after the function.

“One of the things I realised when I took over the Under-19 team was that people stay on and play too much of Under-19. They want to keep playing U-19 cricket, which is very dangerous.”

“So we took the decision of not allowing any player to play two U-19 World Cups. This meant five of the players from the last WC, who are eligible for the coming WC in January, won’t be playing.”

The India Under-19 and A team coach added that it was important to strike a balance between age-group cricket and the top level.

“Age group cricket has a purpose, but the players then have to go and ultimately play men’s cricket,” he said.

Given the myriad of avenues available for players now, Dravid admitted Under-23 cricket was not exactly very prominent, but insisted it still had a role to play. “I don’t think it will ever be redundant completely.

“Yes, the quality of cricket might not always be great but it still provides an opportunity for players. It’s hard to make it to the state teams at the Under-19 level. Not everyone can play for India and not everyone can make the state team immediately after Under-19. U-23 gives you a platform to push your case. It’s an important bridge,” he said.

সুন্দরী

পোস্টঅফিস গিয়েছিলাম।  যে লাইনে প্রতিবার  দাঁড়াই সেটা দেখি বেশ বড়।  তারপর দেখি এগোচ্ছেই না।  হচ্ছে টা কি?!  সামনের একটা লোক ছিল কাউন্টার থেকে এসে বলল,  দাদা আর বলবেন না।  সেই ছেলেটা নেই,  একটা মেয়েকে বসিয়েছে!         কাউন্টারে মেয়েদের বসানো মানেই দেরি হওয়ার সম্ভবনাই বেশি।  কি আর করা যাবে অগত্যা। 

মিনিট কুড়ি পর নিজেই অধৈর্য হয়ে দেখতে গেলুম।  দেখি একটা মেয়ে।  বয়স ত্রিশ ট্রিশ হবে হয়ত।  চুলে পাক ধরেছে এখনই।  চোখে চশমা। ছেলেদের মত পান্ট শার্ট পরে কাউন্টারে রয়েছে। অবাক হলাম তার মুখে বিন্দুমাত্র মেকআপ বা সাজগোজ পর্যন্ত নেই। আমাদের মত ছেলেরা যেমন সারাদিন ধুলোবালি গুতিয়ে উস্কোখুস্কো চুল নিয়ে বাড়ি ফেরে ঠিক তেমন।  দেখে মনেই হয়না সে জীবনে কোনদিন মেকআপ করেছে।  হাসিমুখে সবার কথা শুনছে সলিউশন দিচ্ছে। সেইজন্য এত দেরি হচ্ছে।  ওখানে যে ছেলেটা থাকত সে দ্রুত কাজ মিটিয়ে দিত বেশি কথা না বলে। কিন্তু আমার কথাবলার স্টাইল চালচলন  হাবভাব গুলো বড়ই আকৃষ্ট করল।  পিছন দিয়ে তখন লাইনে দাঁড়ানো লোকগুলো বিরক্তি প্রকাশ করছে চেঁচিয়ে। তার কোন হেলদোল নেই।  আর আমি তখন মুচকি মুচকি হাসছি, দেখছি আর ভাবছি সত্যিই অনেকসময় সৌন্দর্য প্রকাশ করতে মেকআপ লাগে না শুধু বোঝার একটা  লোক থাকা চাই।   :)  Check out the others suparb phones.
